QRorschach was inspired by the obvious resemblance of modern QRcodes seen all over the media these days and the inkblot test invented by Swiss psychologist Hermann Rorschach. Obviously, the anti-hero Rorschach from Alan Moore's WATCHMEN series had to be the next logical step. The QRcode is of course fully functional: once scanned with a smart phone or other QR-reading device, it reads "HURM ..." - a classic Rorschach quote if ever there was one (Rorschach made that kind of noise throughout the books whenever he was deep in thought or simply refused to actually answer ... so ... quite often)
